* Libraries collaborating with communities - communities in the larger sense - being a part of health fairs etc., or connecting with local hospitals to be able to be a community partner in providing health information.

Institutional use of flickr, waymarking, geocaching, & similar "collaborative" sites that are object / topic based rather than "persona" based.

Stan, I'll bring a couple of GPS units too. There's a cache over in front of Cabela's, I think (if it's still there.)

The Google Book Settlement. Even if the final Settlement is not approved on Oct 7, 2009, it is still a bellwether for how e-books may be marketed to libraries.

Outreach, and finding new ways to attract different population groups to the library. Another suggestion is ways of making the library as user-friendly as possible--website, catalog, signage, etc.

Ideas for cutting costs without cutting services or people. How has your library become more efficient? What have you stopped doing, and what has the impact been?

I'm interested in what people are reading and finding useful (or even inspiring) in the library or management world. Topics in this area that interest me are ongoing education of library staff, leadership, and savvy customer service.

Youth Services programs and scheduling-for example, how long is your programming rotation for? Also any low cost ideas especially for book clubs.

I'm interested in the transition process for staff that have had the same director for a long period of time (ten or more years) and what others are doing to ease the transition - if anything.

I would like to discuss and watch an active user of Facebook and/or other social networking sites. I have almost no experience with any of this latest craze (I'll bring my clay tablets and stylus to take notes.) I'd like to see some good examples of Facebook pages and also watch and learn from the producer's standpoint -- observe a page being updated, see bells and whistles being added, etc. -- as well as from the consumer interaction standpoint. I've seen a few examples of pages in other training sessions, but have never seen the 'man behind the curtain' making it all happen.
